Principal

Dear Families,

My name is Lisaura Moreno, and I am honored to serve as the Principal of ABGS Middle School. I have over 17 years of experience as an educator and over nine years as a building leader. I look forward to continuing the tradition of excellence and maximizing every student's potential by building a culture of collaboration and teamwork where everyone will collaborate to benefit students and get them from Great to Greater. 

ABGS is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Year Program School. Our mission is to provide students with a comprehensive, inquiry-based educational plan and resources from community partnerships to ensure that every student will transition to high schools with fundamental knowledge, experience in the STEAM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) and expanded career opportunities as global citizens.

ABGS has a significant number of programs to support the whole child. Some of our programs currently established include but are not limited to;  the Accelerated Pathway (Honors Program), Peer Mediator, Civics and Law, Empire State After School Program and 21st Century, where students can engage in learning about the world and fun things in the Science field, law, sports to chess. We look forward to expanding our communities' partnerships to allocate all the resources the community has to offer to meet the needs of all students.

I look forward to establishing a strong partnership with parents and guardians. During the school year, we will have open houses, meetings, game nights, and workshops to support each other in expanding our students to be global thinkers.
